Proposed Amendment to Municipal Plan and Development Regulations

TOWN OF GLOVERTOWN

PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO MUNICIPAL PLAN

AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS

Glovertown Town Council wishes to amend its Municipal Plan and Development Regulations to recognize existing quarry operations on Angle Brook Road and allow for future quarry expansion. The amendment will also create an environmental buffer area between the quarry area and Terra Nova River. As shown below, the amendment will rezone approximately:

· 15.0 hectares from TOURISM COMMERCIAL to RURAL RESOURCE

· 1.3 hectares from SEASONAL RESIDENTIAL TO RURAL RESOURCE

· 2.0 hectares from TOURISM COMMERCIAL to OPEN SPACE/CONSERVATION

· 1.6 hectares from SEASONAL RESIDENTIAL to OPEN SPACE/CONSERVATIOMN

The proposed amendments are available for viewing at the Town Office and on the Town’s website (www.glovertown.ca). Comments or objections may be submitted in writing to the Town Clerk on or before 12:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
