Lindahl Butt
Deputy Mayor
Lindahl Butt is a lifelong resident of Glovertown. He is the fifth son of the late Edgar and Patricia (nee Arnold) Butt. This is his first foray in municipal politics however his involvement in the community and coaching sports dates back 1981.
He graduated from Glovertown Regional High School in 1981 and excluding his time pursuing his studies plus 2 1/2 years working in a custom woodworking shop in Alberta, and one year teaching in Grand Bank he has resided in his hometown of Glovertown.
He has a journeyman’s ticket in Carpentry, a B.Ed Vocational from the University of New Brunswick and a Masters in Education from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Since returning home to teach in 1991-92 he has been involved with the Glovertown Recreation Committee (1996-2003). A founding member of the Glovertown Arena Committee (Treasurer). A member of the Glovertown Academy School Council (2003-2019). Co-chair 2015 Provincial Student Leadership Conference (25th anniversary) and very active in coaching youth sports.
